Snr Designer - Footwear
Responsible for creating objects of desire in footwear through leading stories and products that are hyper relevant to the China and Asia Pacific consumer. Ability to deliver against aesthetic and functional requires in a dynamic close to market operating model.
● Live Consumer Obsession with a special emphasis on winning the China and APAC consumer
● Be a story teller and visually interpret your stories through ideas and designs
● Deliver against creativity and innovation with unexpected solutions to gain market share
● Design products that both fulfill consumer needs and product briefing
● Excite our consumers with creative solutions in colors, materials and product design
● Articulate creative for cross functional working and processes
● Continuous exploration of external as well as internal footwear landscape
● Work within the constraints of timelines and a close to market dynamic
● Live the behavior philosophy of the brand built around creativity, collaboration and confidence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
● Ability to effectively present design concepts cross functionally and to a variety of members in the organization
● Have a passion and knowledge of sneaker and street culture
● Work well in a dynamic environment with diverse cultures and people
● Agile mindset and can adapt to ever changing consumer environment and fast paced calendars
● Skill to both create leading product whilst having the skill to interpret trends and commercialize
● Mature approach and ability to persuade, negotiate and compromise to produce win/win scenarios
● Knowledge of design, development and marketing processes with a passion for ideation sharing
● Intellectually curious and always seeking the new
Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor or University Degree in industrial design or related educational experience and at least 3 years related work experience in footwear design, colors and materials
● Experience in footwear design with colors, materials and graphics experience being a preference
● Product Marketing or Development or Creation experience in addition to Design would be advantageous
● Superior experience in usage of all key design software and systems
● Excellent communication skills in English
