Channel Sales Senior Director

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

  • To ensure profitable market share and net sales growth in given Channels in China while respecting the image of the brand
  • To establish the best possible outdoor network with proper brand presence. 
  • To passionately lead the channel organisation in identifying, developing and implementing strategies for the profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To develop and implement the overall strategy for the channel based on overall wholesale strategies jointly with the SVP and get sign off by the MD;
  • To participate and input into the overall channel strategies together with SVP/MD to ensure the brand can out-grow competition in the market place;
  • Overall responsibility for multiple channel,  all business related KPIs, includes but not limited to (net sales), ST,  (comp growth and etc), inventory level, POS numbers;
  • Work with cross functional teams to provide the strong supports to accounts in outdoor channel aligned with business growth targets;
  • Work with retail expansion to ensure proper POS expansion for outdoor channel in Greater China
  • Actively explore the potential partners who have the competency and capability to expand brand in Greater China;
  • To ensure the best possible Net Sales result by setting clear targets and action points;
    constant tracking of results; analysis of risks & new business opportunities
  • To review, challenge and sign off the Strategic Account Plans and Account Marketing Plans proposed by the sales managers
  • To support negotiation and enforcement of Group trade terms
  • To lead team and foster performance culture within his team 
  • To develop, train and retain key talents
  • To monitor and report on customers and competitors sell-through and activities, and propose/initiate/take actions   
  • To provide realistic plans and forecasts on customers performances  

 Working with
Brand Activation, Business Planning and Strategy, Territory Management, Franchise Service, Finance, Business Development, Demand Planning,
Knowledge, Skills 

  • Sales leaders with proven track record of successfully managing accounts in sales organizations.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work with cross function team to drive the initiatives;
  • High analytical skills for strategy development, business planning Decision planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Very good communications and negotiating abilities as well as high presentation, relationship management and facilitation skills
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge (e.g. sales, trade marketing, finance and controlling)
  • Strong decision taking and determination and shows high initiative and pragmatism to the business.
  • Fluent in written and spoken local language as well as English. 
  • Knowledge of retail channels in China and it's channel network

Requisite Education and Experience 

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience within large sales organisations, ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG of which min 5 years in sales;
  • At least 5 years’ experience of people and operational management
