We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Food Manufacturing General Manager to oversee the start-up, launch, and ongoing management of our new food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, leadership, and strategic management, with fluency in both Arabic and English. This is a critical role in establishing and driving the success of a state-of-the-art manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Start-Up and Launch:
Lead the entire process of setting up the food manufacturing facility, including site selection, equipment procurement, and installation.
Develop and implement strategic plans for the facility’s launch, ensuring all operational and regulatory requirements are met.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of key personnel to build a strong, capable team ready for production.
Coordinate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and other departments to ensure a seamless and successful product launch.
Operational Management:
Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve production goals.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
Manage the facility's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
Strategic Planning and Development:
Develop long-term strategic plans for the growth and expansion of the manufacturing facility.
Identify and implement new technologies and processes to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the organization.
Leadership and Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team to ensure effective operations and continuous improvement.
Establish performance goals and monitor progress, providing guidance and support as needed.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values and objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a proven track record in a senior management role.
Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated leadership and strategic management skills, with the ability to drive operational excellence.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage complex projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
